I’ve been taste-testing sardines for about two years now. I love them. My grandfather introduced me to sardines back in the 60s when he would pop open a can for a quick snack. I didn’t like them back then. Perhaps if I’d tried Trader Joe’s Milk Chocolate Sardines with Sea Salt, I would have started eating them sooner.
These days, I eat sardines 7 to 10 times a week. When you add canned tuna, salmon, oysters, and such, I eat a lot of tinned fish.
Given my need for high-quality protein and my limited ability to eat large amounts of food, sardines have become my go-to GLP-1 meal, followed by eggs and Greek yogurt.
I think I can safely add a chocolate sardine to the mix without too much effort.
